Here are some more Pencil / Color Pencil Drawings that were rendered through a process called "burnishing". Each drawing can take up to 75/100 hours to complete. It is a process that is quite time consuming. Through the process of burnishing, a phenomenon known as "wax bloom" may occur. Once the drawing has settled, this deposit may exude a grayish haze over the surface of the paper, dulling the color. It can be wiped away with a tissue. When a coating of fixative is applied it will seal the surface of the drawing preventing a reoccurence of the bloom.
