What Makes Massachusetts Unique?

Why is Massachusetts most unique? It is the only state in which their duck stamps feature a decoy as it's subject in the nations state duck stamp program. In 2007 I won the 2008 Massachusetts Duck Stamp Competition, after trying for 12 years. The artwork submitted have been some of the best artwork I have seen in my life. I have meet several other Massachusetts winning artists, including Randy Julius and his brother Berry. I am grateful to have won at least one of the 38 competitions (even being a judge in one of them) and it's a honor to have your artwork displayed on one of these stamps. The main reason that this web-site is being built is to sell the "2008 Massachusetts Waterfowl Stamp Print Design" as well as the "2001 Massachusetts Archery/Primitive Firearms Stamp Print Design"

Other Decoy Drawings

All decoy drawings are rendered in color pencil using a technique called "burnishing". It is a method of blending color through pressure by fusing two or more colors by rubbing over them until they are literally ground down. This technique reduces the pigment particles on the paper to a fine grain into the surface of the paper, resulting in a smooth, almost shiny finish.
